'Accounts' Report Type always selected for Territory Management 1.0 Report Types

Note: This article applies to Territory Management 1.0 and does NOT apply to Enterprise Territory Management. 


When attempting to create a report using one of the standard Territory Management 1.0 report types, users may find that multiple report types are selected.  

For instance, when searching for and selecting the 'Accounts with Territories' report type, the report builder will highlight multiple report types: 
  • Accounts
  • Accounts with Territories
  • Accounts with Multiple Territories
  • Accounts without Territories
Once a user selects the desired report type and clicks 'Continue', the user is taken into the report builder and will see that regardless of the option selected in the previous step, the 'Accounts' standard report type was chosen.

This behavior is due to the retirement of the Territory Management 1.0 feature. As this feature is no longer available, we have made the decision to halt any new reports from being created with an affiliated report type.  

Currently, when one of the aforementioned report types is selected, the user will be redirected to the standard Account/Opportunity/User report type.  Territory Management fields may or may not be available from this page, depending on the status of the feature's retirement.  

If you are currently utilizing Territory Management 1.0, we strongly suggest that you look into migrating to Enterprise Territory Management prior to the retirement of this feature.
