Salesforce Objects are not included in setup for Synchronized Data Sources for Contact Builder

Publiseringsdato: Jun 10, 2025
Beskrivelse

When using the Marketing Cloud Connect managed package, you have the option in Contact Builder to setup synchronized data sources.

To have the Object for selection to Synchronize in Marketing Cloud, you need to provide the Object level and field level permissions in Salesforce for the Integration User. Some objects will be missing in the selection even through all the required permissions are assigned to the Integration User.

Løsning
Check to see if the Object is part of any Licensed Managed Package. If the custom object is part of any Licensed managed Package, then it won't appear for selection in marketing Cloud Synchronize Entity by default. It will only be available if the integration used is assigned the Managed Package License. If not assigned, then you will see the objects part of that managed package will be missing from the Synchronize Entity selection.

To identify if the license is assigned or not, follow below steps in Salesforce Classic for your org:
  1. Navigate to Setup in your Salesforce Org
  2. Under Build, expand the Create menu item
  3. Click on Objects
  4. Here you can search for the Object in question which is missing and find the 'Installed Package' name.
  5. Open Installed package and click on 'Manage License'
  6. Check if the Marketing Cloud Connect Integration user is present or not.
  7. If the integration user is missing, please add it.

Please see the Managing Licenses for Installed Packages article for adding the user.

You will also need to make sure the following properties are correct for that Object:
  • Queryable: True
  • Createable: True
  • Retrieveable: True
  • Replicateable: True
  • CustomSetting: False
  • "CreatedDate" field has to be available
The mentioned attributes can be found in your Salesforce org via Salesforce Workbench:
  • Login into your Org
  • Open Workbench in a new tab
  • Info > Standard & Custom Objects
  • Select the missing Object from the drop-down menu
  • From the menu > select Attributes
  • Review the values as per the above requirements
