When assigning a Goal Template to a user in WDC (Work.com), the following error appears:
- Custom Object Access: field integrity exception: AccessLevel (trivial share level Read, for organization with default level Read)
- Insert failed. First exception on row 0; first error: FIELD_INTEGRITY_EXCEPTION, field integrity exception: AccessLevel (trivial share level Read, for organization with default level Read): [AccessLevel]
This error occurs because the Organization-Wide Default (OWD) for Goals is set to Public, and the Goal Template has "Share with All Internal Users" enabled. Since the OWD already grants public access, enabling this setting creates a conflict.
To resolve:
(1) Disable 'Share with All Internal Users' on the Goal Template,
OR
(2) Set the OWD for Goals to Private.
