Differences Between the Salesforce Mobile App and Desktop Experience

Udgivelsesdato: Jan 17, 2025
Beskrivelse
The Salesforce Mobile App for iOS and Android is a hybrid app — meaning it uses a combination of native mobile components and web-based content to deliver Salesforce functionality on a mobile device. Because of this hybrid architecture, some features available in the Desktop experience are not supported or behave differently on mobile.

For example, a sales rep using the Salesforce Mobile App in the field may notice that certain setup options, reports, or admin configuration tools are only accessible when logging in from a desktop browser.

The key differences between the Salesforce Mobile App and the Desktop Experience:

Available Data on Mobile
Not all objects and fields configured in your org are automatically available in the Salesforce Mobile App. Admins control what data is exposed to mobile users through page layouts and the Lightning App Builder.
Known Limitations on Mobile
The hybrid nature of the Salesforce Mobile App means some Desktop features are not available on mobile, including certain report builders, Setup menus, and complex page layouts.
