Users with the same role and profiles are receiving different report results

게시 일자: May 14, 2026
상세 설명

Users who share the same Role and Profile in Salesforce may unexpectedly see different results when running the same report. This behavior can occur even for System Administrators or users with the View All Data permission.
This is a common source of confusion because users assume that identical permissions always produce identical report outputs.

솔루션

The most common cause of this behavior is a mismatch in Locale settings between users. In Salesforce, a user's Locale determines the time zone used when applying date filters in reports. If two users have different Locale settings and the report includes a date filter, the filter boundaries shift based on each user's local time, resulting in different records being returned.
To resolve this issue, set the same Locale for all affected users.
Steps to Change a User's Locale in Salesforce Classic:

  1. Click Setup.
  2. Under Manage Users, click Users.
  3. Find and click Edit next to the affected user.
  4. Update the Locale field to match the other users.
  5. Click Save.

Steps to Change a User's Locale in Lightning Experience:

  1. Click the gear icon and select Setup.
  2. Navigate to Users > Users.
  3. Find and click Edit next to the affected user.
  4. Update the Locale field to match the other users.
  5. Click Save.

After setting a consistent Locale across all affected users, rerun the report to confirm the results now match.
