Assign Salesforce Inbox Permission Sets to Users

Note: We recommend that you mass assign Inbox permission sets from the Permission Set area in Setup using the 'Manage Assignment' button.  For more, please read Select Who Can Use Inbox.   Note: other Permission Sets such as Sales Engagement permission sets also allow access to Inbox/Activity capture also.  Check the "App Permissions" in  a Permission set to see the full scope of included permissions.

As a Salesforce administrator you can assign and work with Permission Sets.

In Lightning Experience
 

  1. Find and identify the Salesforce Users who will use Salesforce Inbox:
  1. In the upper-right corner of the screen, click the gear icon and then Setup.
  2. In the left panel, click Administration | Users | Users.
  1. Click the User you want.
  2. On the User detail page, under Permission Set License Assignments, click Edit Assignments.
  3. Here move the Inbox with Einstein Activity Capture or Inbox without Einstein Activity Capture  into the Enable Permission Sets window and save.
  4. Confirm that the permission sets appear on the User detail page.
  5. Repeat steps 1–5 for each Salesforce Inbox User in your organization.

 

In Salesforce Classic
 

  1. Find and identify the Salesforce Users who will use Salesforce Inbox:
  1. In the upper-right corner of the screen, click Setup.
  2. In the left panel, go to Administer | Manage Users | Users.
  1. Click the User you want.
  2. On the User detail page, under Permission Set License Assignments, click Edit Assignments.
  3. Here move the 'Inbox with Einstein Activity Capture' or 'Inbox without Einstein Activity Capture'  into the Enable Permission Sets window and save.
  4. Confirm that the permission sets appear on the User detail page.
  5. Repeat steps 1–5 for each Salesforce Inbox User in your organization.
