Assign Salesforce Inbox Permission Sets to Users

This article explains how to assign the Salesforce Inbox permission set to a single User in Lightning Experience or Salesforce Classic, so that User can access Inbox with or without Einstein Activity Capture.

Assign Inbox in Lightning Experience

As a Salesforce administrator, follow these steps to assign a Permission Set to one User:

• In the upper-right corner of the screen, click the gear icon and then Setup.
• In the left panel, click Administration | Users | Users.
• Click the User you want.
• On the User detail page, under Permission Set License Assignments, click Edit Assignments.
• Move Inbox with Einstein Activity Capture or Inbox without Einstein Activity Capture into the Enabled Permission Sets window and save.
• Confirm that the permission sets appear on the User detail page.
• Repeat these steps for each Salesforce Inbox User in your organization.

Assign Inbox in Salesforce Classic

As a Salesforce administrator, follow these steps to assign a Permission Set to one User:

• In the upper-right corner of the screen, click Setup.
• In the left panel, go to Administer | Manage Users | Users.
• Click the User you want.
• On the User detail page, under Permission Set License Assignments, click Edit Assignments.
• Move Inbox with Einstein Activity Capture or Inbox without Einstein Activity Capture into the Enabled Permission Sets window and save.
• Confirm that the permission sets appear on the User detail page.
• Repeat these steps for each Salesforce Inbox User in your organization.
