Log in as a Company Experience Site license User

Log-in as for Company Experience Site License is not performed using a related Contact and the manage external user button. Since Company Experience Site Users are internal you will log in from the User record but in doing so the Admin will land in the internal organization first, we will explain below how to change to Experience Cloud Site.

Company Experience Site License, is an Internal user license, which also allows access to a Community. You can read more about it here: Experience Cloud site User Licenses

The users themselves can either log in at login.salesforce.com or use the log in URL of the Experience Cloud Site, where they use the option to log in with internal user credentials.

When a System Administrator needs to log in as a Company Experience Site user it will need to be done  by using the Login As link/button on the User list view or User record.

After logging in as the Company Experience Site User, you will be taken to the internal Salesforce organization. It is not possible to log-in- as directly to the Community URL.

To be able to switch between the internal organization and the Experience Site in Classic, we will need to have the Global Header enabled for the user's profile, it can either be given with a permission set or edited on the existing profile.

Once you have the View Global Header permission enabled for that User you'll be able to switch between the Internal Org and the Experience Site at will using the dropdown available.

In Lightning Experience you will need to ensure the Experience Sites is included in the Lightning App Menu. 

To add the Experience Site to the App Launcher do the following:

1. Navigate to Setup.
2. Go to User Interface > App Menu
3. Locate the Community in the App Menu list.
4. Ensure that "Visible in App Launcher" is enabled. 

Now log in as the Company Community user and ensure that the Community is now present in the App Launcher while in Lightning Experience.
