Account Engagement tasks using Salesforce data storage due to connector settings

게시 일자: Sep 30, 2025
상세 설명
When the connector setting 'Sync Emails with the CRM' is enabled, every Account Engagement email gets pushed into the Activity History related list as a task in Salesforce, thus this can cause your Sales reps to miss important tasks since they are being bogged down by Account Engagement email tasks.
솔루션

See if you have 'Sync Emails with the CRM' setting enabled

In pi.pardot.com, navigate to Administration > Connectors > Edit the Salesforce connector > Expand the section 'Email Logging' > 'Sync emails with the CRM'

In Account Engagement Lightning, navigate in Account Engagement Settings > Connectors > Edit the Salesforce connector > Expand the section 'Email Logging' > 'Sync emails with the CRM'

By disabling the connector setting Sync emails with the CRM, that will prevent Account Engagement emails from syncing over as completed tasks in Salesforce under Activity History.

Instead you're able to add the 'Account Engagement Activities' Visualforce (in pi.pardot.com) or 'Engagement History' component (in Account Engagement Lightning) to see this relevant Account Engagement data.

A few things to keep in mind before disabling the Sync emails with the CRM:

1. You won't be able to run updated Task reports in Salesforce to see this data anymore.
2. This won't remove the existing tasks from the Salesforce org. Those tasks would need to be mass deleted out of Salesforce, if needed, to free up additional storage space. This can be done by looking for subject lines like 'Account Engagement list email' if you need to delete en masse.

Note: This information also applies to the "Sync Engage emails with the CRM" and "Sync plugin emails with the CRM" settings. Be sure to review those as well.
