Migrating or merging Account Engagement accounts

Migrating data from one Account Engagement account to another is a manual process since Account Engagement was not designed to directly push data from one account to another. Below are some important considerations if you plan on undergoing this process.

Prospect records
Prospect records can be exported from the old Account Engagement account and imported via email address match into the new Account Engagement account.

• With the exception of the fields listed here, most other fields can be imported into the new Account Engagement account. Fields that cannot be imported: Last Activity At, Created Date, Updated Date, First Assigned, Grade, Referrer, Do Not Call, Do Not Email, Opted Out, Account Engagement Hard Bounce, Subscribe, Unsubscribe, Email Bounced Reason, Email Bounced Date, Prospect ID. Do Not Email and Opted Out can be imported to if the upgraded Prospect Mailability feature is enabled.
• Custom fields will have to be re-created and re-mapped to Salesforce fields prior to importing prospect data into the new Account Engagement account.
• Prospect activity history can be exported from the old Account Engagement account (via the Account Engagement API). However, prospect activity history cannot be imported into the new Account Engagement account. Each prospect will start with an empty activity history in the new Account Engagement account.
• Tags can be exported via Segmentation | Tags. They do not show on the main prospect table express or full export.
• Tags can be added on during the prospect import wizard. You must do this individually per list.

Assets

• Email Preferences, Unsubscribe Pages, Dynamic Content, Email Templates, Layout Templates: In order to retrieve these items, you need to view templates individually and copy HTML/text and paste into a word processor or text editor.
• Dynamic Lists, Automation Rules, Engagement Studio Programs, Forms, Form Handlers and Landing Pages: These items are not exportable. We suggest taking screenshots of these, but these will need to be built from scratch in any new Account Engagement account. 
• Files: You are able to export files by navigating to Marketing | Content | Files (Classic) or from the File section of the Content tab (Account Engagement Lightning) and download individually. Account Engagement Support is not able to provide all files in a downloaded format. 
• Custom Redirects: Export the custom redirect table to save all destination URLs.
• Custom Configured Fields: Field mappings are not exportable. You will need to build them from scratch in any new Account Engagement account. 

NOTE: Speak to your Account Engagement Account Executive if any accounts need to be closed/ contracts rearranged on the sales side.
