Considerations for using Surveys in Account Engagement

While Account Engagement does not have any native integration with survey providers at this time, this article covers general best practices for integrating survey data with Account Engagement. You can also explore building a custom integration via Salesforce Surveys. Account Engagement Support is unable to assist with any Survey functionality.

General Considerations

Account Engagement does not recommend embedding surveys and/or forms in emails. Rather than embedding a survey and/or form in an email, provide a link to the survey or form. Embedding forms in emails isn’t recommended for a few reasons:

* The form might not render correctly.
* The form might not capture data.
* The form might trigger an alert about submitting data to an external page. Email clients tend to flag emails that contain forms as spam, so including one could hurt your engagement.

While there is no prebuilt survey email template available in Account Engagement, you will be able to utilize Account Engagement's pre-formatted email template layouts to create your own custom email template to suite your survey email requirements.

Alternatively, there are a number of Salesforce AppExchange applications which support surveying with Salesforce and its products. 

If you are using a third party survey tool, you could include the link to the survey in your email as a custom redirect and be able to track the interaction with those links. Read more in Creating Custom Redirects.

If your survey is a form, you could use an Account Engagement Form Handler to record the data they are putting into the survey form. This way, even though the survey form isn't an Account Engagement form, you could still be able to record the information they put on it and record those responses on their prospect record. Read more in Form Handler Overview.

If you have a web developer, you could also have them try to build out a custom form with all custom HTML and CSS to build a Account Engagement form to replicate a survey as well.
