I'm using Tableau Desktop (public edition) 2026.1.1 to edit multiple workbooks on my Win 11 workstation and the program is suddenly extremely laggy. Just selecting dashboard objects causes a multi-second delay where a blue circle spins and "Not Responding" appears in the status bar alongside the dashboard name at the top of the screen.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? I've edited these workbooks repeatedly without issue over the past few weeks, so I'm wondering if this might relate to the service outage 2 weeks ago that resulted in Error Code: 9F4C5638.

I'd appreciate any input!

    Hi,Kathy Kaufman

I’m also seeing similar behavior in 2026.1.1, where Tableau suddenly becomes slow and shows “Not Responding” for a few seconds. I haven’t seen anything official about a major issue, but it does feel more common than in previous versions.

In my case, the lag tends to appear after working for a long time or when the workbook gets heavier. Restarting Tableau or even rebooting Windows has helped, and cleaning up unused sheets or switching the dashboard size settings has also made things a bit smoother.

I’m also curious to hear if others are experiencing the same slowdown in this version.

anyone else think this change is the worst for admins? sandbox can't change email addresses without forcing login ... which means test new functionality and workflows is going to be impossible! and by the way the actual instructions for even changing at all for users that have not logged in does NOT work.

    Hi @Joelle Patten

I may be misunderstanding the issue here, and I have not done a lot of testing in Summer '26 orgs as yet.

Does disabling Require identity verification for email address changes on Identity Verification

page before you make the email change not get around this issue?

I have downloaded the Tableau extension and embedded my dashboard into my slides - I have tried using both the url and view feature - both are very slow and when use the data refresh button, it often fails. Is this a known issue? I really like the concept of the feature but in reality I am having a hard time getting it to work.

Also, I have set up a specific view that I want to embed but once it embeds it changes the axis - e.g I have set my axis to show the dates as Apr 26 etc but when it embeds it changes this to be April 26 and puts some of the longer dates across 2 lines - why does it do this?

thanks!

    Hi,Eleanor Hunt

It seems that embedding Tableau dashboards into Google Slides isn’t very stable at the moment. I’ve seen similar reports where the extension loads slowly or the refresh action fails quite often. I’m not aware of any official statement calling this a known issue, but the behavior does feel inconsistent in practice.

Regarding the axis changing after embedding, this might happen because Google Slides adjusts the frame size, and Tableau then reflows the axis labels based on the available space. When the embedded view becomes smaller than the original dashboard, long date labels can wrap or shift unexpectedly.

    • Use a fixed-size dashboard in Tableau
    • Increase the frame size in Google Slides if possible
    • Shorten the date format (e.g., “Apr 26” instead of a long format)
    • If stability is important, consider embedding the view in a regular web page instead of Google Slides — that tends to behave more reliably

The concept of embedding into Slides is great, but in its current state it may still be a bit sensitive depending on the dashboard and environment.

River T asked in #Flow

Hi there,

In order to better forecast earned and philanthropic revenue, my team uses three separate currency fields in addition to the Amount field when creating an Opportunity. The fields are called 'Low,' 'Medium,' and 'High.' Each one has a different amount entered upon initial creation. At a certain stage in the sales process, the  'Low,' 'Medium,' and 'High' fields need to be updated to match the number in the amount field.

I am wondering about the capabilities and limitations of automating this process with Flows, as well as if there are any risks. Is anyone able to help me understand if this is something I could automate, the most logical / best way to set it up, and any risks I should be aware of?

Let me know if you need any other details or screenshots.

Thanks!

    @River T

if there is a record criteria (Stage = Certain value) based on which all the 3 currency field values should match Amount, then.. yes.. record triggered flow on Opportunity would be ideal and we can have 3 field update actions to achieve this.

Only catch is that flow should be designed strictly for that particular stage value and doesnt trigger un-necessarly

Generally it’s because other countries make it hard! As a concrete example I saw someone ask this about Italy so I looked into it. Italy has a law that demands a totally separate set of prizes just for Italy and a bunch of other specific provisions. So they make it harder and less attractive to offer prizes there. Unsurprisingly large companies like Salesforce then choose not to

Hi Team,

There is an ongoing issue while attempting to create an Einstein AI Playground for the module "Conectar flujos con Agentforce mediante acciones" (Connect Flows to Agentforce with Actions).

Every time the "Crear un Playground" button is clicked, the following error appears: "Vaya, se ha producid

issue while attempting to create an Einstein AI Playground f

o un error al crear el Playground Einstein AI. Actualice la página e inténtelo de nuevo dentro de una hora." Despite following the instructions to refresh the page and waiting for more than an hour, the error persists. This is preventing the completion of the badge and the associated Agentforce learning path.

Could you please investigate if there is a block on the account or a known issue with the playground provisioning service?

Attached is a screenshot of the error for reference.

Thank you for the help.

Best regards,

Hi everyone,

I am currently working on the "Quick Start: Agent Actions" (Connect a Flow to Agentforce with Actions) project, but I am stuck on the challenge verification step.

Even though I have completed all the steps successfully, I keep receiving the following error message:

Summary of what I did based on the instructions:

  1. Enabled Einstein and Agentforce (Default) in a new trial org.
  2. Opened the agent in the Agentforce Builder and added the General CRM topic.
  3. Created a new Custom Agent Action referencing the existing Initiate Return Flow with the exact instructions and inputs/outputs specified.
  4. Added the 'Initiate Return' action to the General CRM topic, ensured it saved properly, and successfully Activated the agent.
  5. Tested the interaction in the conversation window—the agent successfully fetched the order details and updated the Return Status field to 'Initiated' via the custom flow automation.

The issue: The instructions specifically guide me to use the existing "Agentforce (Default)" agent (and rename it from Einstein Copilot if necessary). However, the challenge validation error is asking for an agent named 'Order Agent'.

The unit instructions do not mention creating or renaming the agent to 'Order Agent'. I have double-checked that my agent is fully activated.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? Should I create a new agent named 'Order Agent' from scratch, or is there a discrepancy in the challenge requirements?

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you.
