Unable to see Global Publisher Actions

In Salesforce, Global Publisher Actions appear in the Chatter publisher on the Home page and in the Global Actions menu in Lightning Experience. When a Global Action is configured but does not appear, the most common cause is the Record Type being set to the default -Master - value, which may not be accessible to all profiles.

 

Scenario: "For example, a Salesforce admin creates a new Global Action for logging a call but notices it doesn't appear in the publisher for most users."

Solución


The reason for this is due to the global action Record Type being left at the default value --Master--

In Classic:

  • Click Setup | Create | Global Actions | Global Actions.
  • In Lightning: Click Setup | User Interface | Global Actions | Global Actions

Then follow these steps:

  1. Edit the corresponding action that is missing.
  2. Change the Record Type from --Master-- to a Record type that you would like to use for the publisher action.
  3. Depending on the Profile, a user might not have access to a Record Type, then the Global Action will not show.
