There’s a ‘pi__Pardot_Has_Dependencies__c’ boolean field added to the Campaign object with the Account Engagement package. Pre-requisite: Access to Salesforce's Workbench
Note: We recommend that you work with a Salesforce Developer who is comfortable using Workbench to make the appropriate adjustments.
- In pi.pardot.com, open Settings, and click Edit. Scroll to Connected Campaigns. Deselect ‘Enable Connected Campaigns and Engagement History’ and click to save.
- In the Account Engagement Lightning app, click the Account Engagement Settings tab, and then select Connectors. Click the gear icon to edit the Salesforce connector, and select the Campaigns tab. Deselect ‘Enable Connected Campaigns and Engagement History’ and click to save.
2) Use Salesforce’s Workbench(https://workbench.developerforce.com/login.php) or Data Loader to set the field, pi__Pardot_Has_Dependencies__c, to ‘false’ on the affected campaign(s) (this must be done within Salesforce on your campaign object). After the field "Pardot Has Dependencies" has been updated to false, please try delete the campaigns in Salesforce again.
The user logging into workbench needs Field Level Security enabled for this field.
To adjust Field Level Security, navigate to Setup > Object Manager > Campaigns > Fields and Relationships > "Pardot has dependencies" field > click on the "Set field level security" button > tick on the user's profile > Save.
- In Account Engagement Classic, open Settings, and click Edit. Scroll to Connected Campaigns. Select ‘Enable Connected Campaigns and Engagement History’ and click to save.
- In the Account Engagement Lightning app, click the Account Engagement Settings tab, and then select Connectors. Click the gear icon to edit the Salesforce connector, and select the Campaigns tab. Select ‘Enable Connected Campaigns and Engagement History’ and click to save.
