In Salesforce Global Search, learn how to perform an exact match keyword search when there are special characters by enclosing the search query in quotation marks. Selecting "Exact Phrase" from the Options link in Global Search is only available in Classic.
By default, a search phrase will be broken up based on special characters. For example, a search for 'Test-Record' would search for 'Test' and 'Record'.
To ensure the hyphen (-) is included in the search results, use quotation marks around the search term: "Test-Record". You can add to the search results by also including a wildcard (*): "Test-Record*"
