'Collaborator' permission does not show on 'File Sharing'

Описание

Users may want to share a file with other users but the 'Collaborator' permission is not available or the error 'Can't share file with some selected people. Please remove them and try again.' is thrown. There are two reasons why this behavior can occur:

  1. The user is not a file owner or a collaborator. For more information, please see Change File Access in Lightning Experience.
  2. The file is shared in a library.
Решение

To resolve:

  1.  Ensure that the sharing user is the file owner or a collaborator on the file.
  2.  Ensure that the file is not shared or uploaded to a library.

Notes: 

  • Once a file is shared or uploaded to a library, only the 'Viewer' permission will be available. The file must be uploaded under Files tab for the Collaborator option to be available.  
  • When a file is shared or uploaded to a library, the permissions will be controlled by the Library Permissions. For more, please see Manage Library Permissions.
