ISSUE

After a user installs and runs Salesforce for Outlook (SFO), the wizard throws the error below without prompting the user to enter their credentials.

 
Unable to connect to login.salesforce.com. Check the URL and your Internet Connection and try again.
 
Lösung
This is not a Salesforce issue, if you have any security software installed or your IT team has Group Policy implemented it is most probably blocking the application. Please refer to your internal IT team to resolve this issue.
 
You can also have your IT team download and install Fiddler, which is a third-party application, please check our article for more information about this, Capture and debug network traffic with Fiddler to troubleshoot issues.

Your IT should be able to look at the Fiddler log or even your Firewall logs to see what is blocking our app.


Note* 
After you allowlist the SfdcMsOl.exe file in your security software, you may need to reboot for the changes made to the policy to sync up.
