Users may observe that the Platform Integration User appears in the Created By, Last Modified By, or Owner fields on certain records in their organization.
The Platform Integration User is a Salesforce system-level internal user. It does not represent a real person. Salesforce uses this user to run automated internal business processes such as Einstein predictions, Salesforce Integration Cloud data synchronization, and Einstein Bot-created records. Seeing this user in Created By, Last Modified By, or Owner fields is expected behavior and does not indicate a problem with the organization.
This is a normal and expected part of how Salesforce maintains an organization. Many internal Salesforce applications automatically run their business processes as the Platform Integration User. Some records may show as being created, last modified, or owned by this user.
In some cases, the Platform Integration User may appear as a hyperlink. While the Chatter profile will be accessible, attempting to view the detailed user record for this user will result in an "Insufficient Privileges" error. This is expected behavior — end users do not have permission to view this user's details.
Note: This user cannot be edited or deleted.
