Error 'No access to accounts' When You Try to View Account Hierarchy in Lightning

Description


When users try to access Account Hierarchy in Lightning they receive the following error, but in Salesforce Classic the Account Hierarchy displays correctly.


Error: "No access to Accounts. You don’t have permission to view other Accounts in this hierarchy. Ask your Salesforce admin for access."

Résolution


In order to view the Account Hierarchy in Lightning, the user must have permission to view the 'Parent Account' field.
