In Salesforce CPQ, Configuration Attributes are used to set the value of multiple product option fields simultaneously. These attributes serve as a junction between product option and quote line fields. See Configuration Attribute Guidelines for more information. Detailed in Mapping Custom Fields Between Objects, editable fields that have matching field type and API name are able to pass values between the specified objects. During reconfiguration, the package sets product option and configuration attribute values based on the matching field from the related quote line.
