Certain fields in Salesforce are not editable using the inline editing feature on record detail pages and list views. This behavior varies by object and field type, and also depends on whether the user is in Salesforce Classic or Lightning Experience. Enabling Accessibility Mode also disables inline editing.
Certain fields are not editable using the inline editing feature on record detail pages and list views in Classic. Further the layout and record type filtered in the list view must also be checked. Enabling Accessibility Mode on the user's setting also disables this feature.
The following lists identify fields that cannot be inline edited, organized by object. For these fields, navigate to the record's edit page to make changes,then click Save.
