During a change set validation or deployment in Salesforce, users may encounter the error:
"In field: QuickAction - no QuickAction named NewTask found"
This error occurs because the change set references a standard Global Action called NewTask that either does not exist in the destination org or has not been included in the change set being deployed.
The change set is unable to locate the standard Global Action "NewTask" in the destination org when validating or deploying. This can happen if the Global Action is missing from the destination org or was not explicitly added to the change set.
Add the NewTask Global Action to the change set (it does not need to be added to the impacted page layout). Once added, the change set will successfully validate or deploy.
If the standard Global Action "NewTask" does not appear in your org, you must create a new Global Action with the name NewTask and then add that component to the affected change set.
You may encounter the same error for other components referenced in your change set. In those cases, add the components being referenced in the error to the change set, re-upload from the source org, and then re-validate or redeploy in the destination org.
