Deployment error 'no QuickAction named NewTask found'

Customers might encounter error " In field: QuickAction - no QuickAction named NewTask found " when validating/deploying change set.

 

Ratkaisu

The error is happening because change set is unable to find the standard Global Action "NewTask" when validating/deploying. If you add the "NewTask" Global Action to the change set (no need to add it to the impacted layout), the change set will successfully validate or deploy.

In case you do not see Standard Global Action "NewTask", you would need to create a new Global Action with name "NewTask" and then add that component to the affected Change Set.

Note : You may see the same error for other components as well. In that case, you just have to add the components being referenced by the error to change set and then have it re-uploaded from source org and then validated/deployed in destination org.
