To output files from a Data Extract activity in UTF-8 (BOM) encoding, enable the File Convert option in the Data Extract activity (Marketing Cloud Engagement) .
If needed, contact Salesforce Support with the information below to request enablement. Support can enable this feature upon request; however, note that this feature is only supported in Hyperforce environments.
 
Solución
Configuration Example
  1. Data Extract activity (Extract data extension) — set the file output destination to Safehouse.
  2. Data Extract activity (File Convert / FileConvert Extract) — set both the file source and output destination to Safehouse.
    • Convert To: select UTF8
    • Check : Is File In Safe House
    • The output file will have encoding: UTF-8 with BOM / line endings: CRLF.
  3. Use a File Transfer activity to move the file to the desired destination.
