Root Cause — Why New Sender Profiles Are Created

The creation of a Sender Profile each time is intentional and works as designed. A new Sender Profile is created each time when the Send Classification option is not used for a couple of reasons:

• If a From Name and From Email is chosen from a Salesforce user (not a Marketing Cloud user) a Sender Profile is created with the selected from name and from email.
• If "record owner" is chosen, then a custom Sender Profile must be created in this instance to house the AMPScript that will be used as part of the send.

Be sure to utilize the Send Classification option to avoid this if needed.
