Enable Salesforce CPQ for the Salesforce app on mobile devices

公開日: Sep 3, 2024
説明

Salesforce CPQ is compatible with the Salesforce App on Android and iOS. However, users should also review the Salesforce CPQ Mobile Limitations and Usability Differences and Salesforce CPQ differences between Lightning and Classic articles to understand what limitations and issues exist before introducing Salesforce CPQ to mobile and tablet users.

Additionally, while Salesforce CPQ can be used without any setup, follow the steps below for best practices to enhance the Salesforce CPQ mobile user experience.

解決策

The following article has been broken down into three steps that cover best practices for enabling Salesforce CPQ for mobile and tablet users:

  1. Change the fields that are displayed in Salesforce CPQ’s quote line editor, product selection, and product configuration by creating a mobile and/or tablet versions of the field set(s).
  2. Allow mobile users to email quote documents by posting quote document files to the quote record’s chatter feed
  3. Allow users to create quotes from opportunities by creating a quick action

Create a phone or tablet version of the Quote Line’s Line Editor field set

  1. Navigate to Setup | Object Manager | Quote Line
  2. Click Field Sets.
  3. Click New.
    1. Field Set Label: For Mobile “Line Editor Phone” for Tablet “Line Editor Tablet”
    2. Field Set Name: For Mobile “LineEditorPhone” for Tablet “LineEditorTablet”
  4. Click Save.
  5. Drag and drop fields into the Field Set. We recommend a limit to 6 fields for tablets and 4 for mobile versions.
  6. Click Save.

NOTE: Net Total is a default and required field to display in the Mobile Quote Line Editor

The application will look for a modified field set and render the appropriate fields based on the device: Desktop (standard no suffix), Phone, or Tablet. While the above is an example for Salesforce CPQ’s Quote Line Line Editor field set, Salesforce for Android and iOS will also look for a suffix of Phone or Tablet for Quote Line, Product, and Product Option field set API names that drive product lookup, configuration fields, product selection, etc.

Allow users to Email Quote Documents by attaching Quote Documents to the Quote’s Chatter Feed

Enable Chatter on your quote objects

Change Where the Quote Document is Attached

  1. Navigate to Setup | Build | Develop | Installed Packages.
  2. Click Configure next to your Salesforce CPQ Installed Package.
  3. Locate the Document section.
  4. Choose Quote as the Attachment Target.
  5. Click the Post to Feed? checkbox.
  6. Click Save.

Inform users to follow these steps to Email Quote Documents in the Salesforce app

  1. Navigate to the Quote
  2. Click Generate Document action
  3. Select the Quote Template and click Save
  4. From the Quote Document record, navigate back to the Quote record
