Clone does not copy the field values for fields that are not on the page layout

In Salesforce, when trying to clone records, the values of fields which are not added to the page layout are not copied over to the newly created cloned record.

For cloning records follow the below steps:
1. Login to the org.
2. Open any record 
3. Click on the clone button and hit on save

NOTE: 
1. Within the Accounts object there is no standard clone button like there is on Leads or Cases. However you can create one. Please review Add a Clone Button to Your Salesforce Records. 
2. Cloning a record will transfer fields to the new record. However, it will not clone any of the related records.

 
Решение

To copy all the field values to the cloned records,  add the field to the page layout.

To add fields on the page layout:

  1. First, we need to find and open the page layout.

    • In Classic, for standard objects: Go to Setup | Customize | Click the object name
      For custom objects: Go to Setup | Create | Objects | Click the object name

    • In Lightning: Click the Gear icon then go to Setup | Object Manager | Click the object name

  2. Click Page Layout.

  3. Drag the required field from the palette and drop it on the the page layout wherever it needs to be placed.

  4. Click Save to finish. Alternatively, click Quick Save to save and continue editing the page layout.

Once added to the layout, clone the record verify the field gets copied over.
