When enabling CRM Analytics Results in Internal Server Error: "Invalid org id or user id"

If CRM Analytics fails to enable properly, an Internal Server Error will be displayed after clicking Enable Analytics. CRM Analytics may still be partially available but will not function properly until the issue blocking proper enablement has been corrected.


This may manifest as the following error when creating an App:
"wave.exception.WaveServiceException: Invalid org id: 00D3000000OrgId or user id: 000000000000000"

To resolve the "Invalid org id or user id" error when enabling CRM Analytics, follow these steps:

  1. Verify that the org ID entered in the CRM Analytics setup wizard matches the 18-character Salesforce Org ID exactly. Navigate to Setup > Company Information to confirm your Org ID.
  2. Confirm that the user ID being used has the CRM Analytics Plus or Einstein Analytics license assigned. Navigate to Setup > Users > [User Name] > Manage Licenses.
  3. If the error persists after confirming the IDs, disable CRM Analytics, wait 5 minutes, and re-enable it from Setup > Analytics > Settings.
  4. If the issue is not resolved, log a Salesforce Support case and provide the Org ID, User ID, and the exact error message received.
