'Invalid FieldValue' Error during Data Extension Import

The Invalid FieldValue error message is typically encountered due to the set Data Type of a specific field within the targeted data extension. The Marketing Cloud application has certain parameters that must be met for a value to be added to a data extension field and, if they are not, then an error message such as InvalidValue may occur.

If the Data Type is set as a Number designation, ensure that the numeric value given does not exceed 2,147,483,647. This is the maximum value that is allowed by SQL for a numeric field. If the number exceeds this value, the customer should instead use Text as the Data Type to resolve.

If the Data Type is EmailAddress, verify that there are no trailing spaces, special characters, or formatting issues of the email address within the import file.
