When sending a Service Report from a Service Appointment in Salesforce Field Service Lightning, you may see the following error:
"Email isn't set up yet. Ask your Admin for help."
This error is specific to Salesforce Field Service when using Service Appointments in Lightning Experience.
Example Scenario:
This error occurs when the global action Email has not been added to the Global Publisher Layout. Salesforce Field Service uses global actions to enable email functionality from Service Appointment records. Without the Email global action in the Global Publisher Layout, the Create and Send Service Report workflow cannot trigger the email compose window.
Navigate to Setup.
Type Global Actions in the Quick Find box and select Publisher Layouts.
Select Publisher Layout.
Click Edit next to Publisher Layout.
Select Mobile and Lightning Actions on the canvas.
Locate the Email action.
Drag and drop the Email action onto the canvas.
Click Save.
After completing these steps, the Create and Send Service Report workflow should be able to launch the email compose window successfully.
