Event invitation email notification differences between Classic and Lightning

Data pubblicazione: Oct 13, 2022
Descrizione

Event invitee email notifications are only sent from Salesforce when you Invite People to an Event and Schedule Resources in Salesforce Classic.

In Lightning Experience, the attendees feature replaces the legacy invitee functionality that's only available in Classic.

Note the following regarding attendees functionality in Lightning Experience:

  • However, it is not possible to send Event attendees email notifications in Lightning without setting up and configuring Einstein Activity Capture (EAC) for your organization.

  • When EAC is setup and configured properly, invitations initiated in Lightning Experience and the Salesforce mobile app are not sent from Salesforce and instead emailed to attendees client side from user's Microsoft® Exchange or Google Calendar™.

Risoluzione

In Lightning Experience, an Admin must setup EAC so attendee email notifications may be sent externally from Salesforce via user's Outlook or Gmail Calendars. See the "How Are Event Invitations Sent to Attendees?" section of the Event Attendee Sync documentation for more details.

When creating a new event in Classic, the invitee's list or 'Select Invitees' section the Event edit page must consist of two or more people in order to see the 'Save & Send Update' option to send an email notification to the new event's invitees.

See Invite People to an Event and Schedule Resources in Salesforce Classic for more details on the 'Save & Send Update' functionality.
