Unable to open a Knowledge article from the Experience Cloud Site search results page

After you search in an Experience Cloud Site, you may find that the expected Knowledge articles appear in the search results, but you're unable to click to open the article.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Login to a Salesforce Experience Cloud site. This occurs most often if the Experience Cloud Site was creating by building your own template.
2. From the list of results, click the title of any Knowledge article.

The article will not open, but details about the article will display in the hover.

This behavior occurs if the Article Detail page has not been added to the Experience Cloud Site. 

Add the page to the community template:

1. Go to: 
 
Salesforce Classic: Setup
Lightning Experience: Gear icon | Setup
 
2. On the Quick Find box, enter All Digital Experiences.
3. Click All Digital Experiences.
3. Click Builder next to the impacted Experience Cloud Site.
4. Click the gear icon to go to Page Properties.
5. Click + New Page
6. Click Standard Page
7. Choose a layout and click Next.
8. Enter the name and URL of your choice.
9. Click Create.
10. Customize the page as desired, and then click Publish.


Once the Article Detail page is published, users should be able to view the article from search results.
