Unable to delete specific event records in an event series

Description

In Salesforce, when events are created as part of a recurring event series, individual events in the series cannot be deleted using standard record actions by default. To enable admins or event creators to remove specific events from a recurring series, the "Delete All Following" button must be added to the Event Page Layout.
This configuration is required in both Salesforce Classic and Lightning Experience.

Résolution

To enable deletion of individual events in a recurring event series, add the "Delete All Following" button to the Event Page Layout. Follow the steps below for your Salesforce experience.


 

Salesforce Classic 

  1. Setup | Activities | Event Page Layouts

  2. Click Edit. 

  3. Add the 'Delete All Following' button via 'Quick Actions in the Salesforce Classic Publisher'

  4. Click Save.


Lightning Experience 

  1. Gear icon | Setup | Object Manager | Event | Page Layouts

  2. Click Edit by clicking the drop down arrow or just click the page layout name.

  3. Add the 'Delete All Following' button via 'Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions'

  4. Click Save.
