How to Report on Multi-Person Calendar Events in Salesforce — Filtering by Primary Assignee vs. Invitees

Publiceringsdatum: Jul 3, 2026
Beskrivning

In Salesforce, a Multi-Person Calendar Event report displays each event invitee as a separate row in the report, with that invitee listed as the Assigned person. This means that a single event with multiple attendees appears multiple times in the report — once for each attendee. As a result, the report can appear to show duplicate activity records when it is actually showing one row per invitee.
This article explains how to filter a Multi-Person Event report to show only the primary assigned user (the person who originally created or owns the activity), rather than all invitees.

How to Filter by Primary Assignee

To filter the report so it shows only the person initially assigned to the event — the primary activity owner — and not the invited attendees, add the following filter to your Activity or Event report:
Event Invitation = False
When the Event Invitation field is set to False, the row represents the primary activity owner. When it is set to True, the row represents an invitee.
This filter is available in Activity-based report types in Salesforce and can be applied in the Filters panel of the Report Builder.

How to Show All Invitees

To report on all invitees for a given event, do not apply the Event Invitation filter, or filter by Event Invitation = True to see only the invited attendees.
