In Salesforce, Chatter feed posts for record changes only appear on your Chatter feed or Home tab if you are following the record that was changed. Posts from users you follow also appear only if you are following the specific record they interacted with.
This article explains the conditions under which activity updates appear on the Chatter Home tab and the What I Follow feed, and how to adjust feed filters in Salesforce to see all updates.
Note: In Salesforce Lightning Experience, Chatter does not appear on the Homepage. Click the Chatter tab to view your feed.
Updates appear on your Chatter Home tab under the following conditions:
Following a user does not automatically show you all their record activity in your feed. To see updates to a specific record on your Home tab, you must follow that record directly.
The What I Follow feed on the Chatter home page defaults to the Fewer Updates filter, which hides system-generated posts (such as automatic field change notifications) to reduce noise. To see all activity made by other users:
This will display all record changes, including system-generated activity feed updates, from users and records you follow.
