Overview

Currently, Salesforce does not natively support a standalone 24-hour (Military Time) clock display setting. However, you can control the time format by changing your Locale setting. Note that changing your Locale also affects the date order and the first/last name order displayed on Name fields for users, leads, and contacts.
Example: If you change your Locale to "English (United Kingdom)", the time displays in 24-hour format, but dates appear as DD/MM/YY.

How to Check and Change Your Locale Setting

Salesforce Classic:

  1. Click your name in the top-right corner.
  2. Click Setup or My Settings.
  3. Navigate to Personal > Advanced User Details.
  4. Locate the Locale field and select your preferred locale.
  5. Click Save.

Lightning Experience:

  1. Click your profile image or avatar in the top-right corner.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Navigate to User Details.
  4. Locate the Locale field and select your preferred locale.
  5. Click Save.

Name Field Display Note

The Locale setting also affects how names appear on Name fields for users, leads, and contacts. For example, "Bob Johnson" in the English (United States) locale displays as Bob Johnson, whereas the Chinese (China) locale displays the name as Johnson Bob.
