The error Picklist Value does not Exist may appear when creating or editing list views that are filtered on picklist fields.
When creating a list view where the search criteria is based on a picklist field, it is only possible to enter up to 80 characters (including spaces). Because of this, we suggest checking the final vaue in your filter criteria to ensure that the full field value was added to your filter criteria. If the full value was not added, users can create an additional line of filter criteria to ensure that values that exceeded the initial 80 character limit will be reviewed. Users can then use the "OR" function within the Advanced Filter Criteria to ensure that both lines are reviewed when the picklist is executed.
For Example:
Click on the lookup box to display the picklist values in the search criteria.
If the character length for all the values selected is 100, then roughly 20 characters will be cut off. If the cut off point occurs midway through one of the picklist values, then it will throw the error message noted above.
This error can also be returned if a picklist value contains a comma. Picklist values that contain commas need to be placed in quotes when used in filter criteria.
