Understanding the API Usage Last 7 Days Report

The API Usage Last 7 Days report displays the following columns:

  • Name: The full name of the Salesforce user making API calls
  • Username: The username of the Salesforce user
  • Email: The email address of the user
  • Client Id: The name of the API client or integration tool making calls (for example, a connected app, data loader, or third-party integration)
  • Day Of Week: The day the API calls were made
  • Call Count: The number of API calls made by that user or client on that day

How to Use the Report

Review the Client Id column to identify automated integrations consuming high volumes of API calls. Review the Name column to identify user-driven API activity. Use this data to determine whether your org's API limits need to be increased, or whether usage patterns need to be optimized to reduce unnecessary API consumption.
