Email attachment icon disappears on emails sent from the Email action in Lightning

From Lightning Experience (LEX): Email attachment icon disappears after the email sent from Salesforce Email Action.

Some customers may report that the Email attachment icon disappears after the email sent from Salesforce Email Action. This only happens when the organization has Inbox/Einstein provisioned, Einstein Activity Capture (EAC) enabled, and assigned to the affected User's Inbox permission set.

Steps to reproduce:
  1. Enable EAC (Einstein Activity Capture).
  2. From Assigned User Inbox Permission Set, Enable App Permissions for EAC (Einstein Activity Capture).
  3. Send an email with an attachment from Lightning Email Action.
  4. You see the Attachment icon not displaying.

 
Lösning

At the moment, this is working by design.

If EAC is enabled, Inbox takes over 'Past Activity' email crawling, which crawls emails from our server and currently files are not supported. Email sending feature is taken over by EAC if it's enabled for Users and we currently support emails only, files are sent but just not shown in the UI at this moment.

Workaround: Deselect EAC (Einstein Activity Capture) from App Permission on the assigned User's Inbox Permission set.
