Unable to see Task and Event Activity Date Fields Within Salesforce Reports

Veröffentlichungsdatum: May 22, 2026
Beschreibung

## Issue

This article explains why Task Due Date and Event Start Date/Date fields are unavailable in Salesforce Reports due to Field-Level Security (FLS) settings.

Due to the nature of the relationship between the Task and Event objects, some of the fields are directly related, which may impact their visibility.  The security implemented for each field directly impacts the Task field Due Date and the Event fields Start Date and Date. If Field Level Security restricts access to the Due Date field on Tasks, then each of these 3 fields will be unavailable to be filtered or reported on.

While the restriction of the field on the report occurs, the related fields (Due Date, Date, or Start Date) will still be able to be viewed on the Task or Event records.

Lösung

## Resolution

To resolve this issue, grant the affected user's profile access to the Due Date field on Tasks via Field-Level Security. When access to this field is granted, all three related fields (Due Date, Start Date, and Date) become available in reports and filters.

In order to resolve this issue, the impacted user's profile must be granted access to each of these fields via Field-Level Security
