Lightning Experience and Classic UI full site in mobile browsers

While it's possible to access some elements of Lightning Experience or Classic UI from a web browser on a mobile phone or tablet, Salesforce does not actively support or provide troubleshooting assistance for those experiences when accessed on an iPhone or Android device.

 

If you are using the Safari browser on an iPad running iPadOS 13.1 or later and accessing Lightning Experience, this is a supported browser configuration.

This also applies to success.salesforce.com and other Salesforce-related domains (Help & Training, Known Issues, and the Idea Exchange). See also our documentation on Supported Browsers and Devices.

Which mobile experiences are supported by Salesforce?

The Salesforce Mobile App is the only UI supported by Salesforce for iPhones and Android devices.

 

Why aren't Classic UI and Lightning Experience supported on iPhones or Android devices?

Since touchscreen controls aren't built into the functionality for either experience, many elements don't function when viewed via mobile web browser, including but not limited to:

  • Calendars
  • Reports
  • Forecasting
  • Imports
  • Content Delivery

Other parts of the full site can render correctly and appear to function normally, but those features aren't designed to be used via mobile web browser and aren't guaranteed to work.

Note: If you have been using Chrome Developer Tools via desktop browser to emulate or test the mobile web experience, this will now show the Classic UI due to the Salesforce Mobile Web Experience Retirement. Salesforce recommends testing on an actual mobile device instead.
