Salesforce Site Favorite Icon Not Visible After Setting Static Resource — 24-Hour Cache Delay

Data pubblicazione: Jan 22, 2026
Descrizione

When setting a Site Favorite Icon for a Salesforce Site (including Experience Cloud sites and Classic Salesforce Sites) by selecting an image registered as a Static Resource, the icon may not appear immediately on the site after saving the setting.
This occurs because the Site Favorite Icon is served from a Salesforce content delivery network (CDN) cache, which is refreshed on a periodic schedule. The cache delay means the new icon may take up to 24 hours to become visible to users.

Risoluzione

The Site Favorite Icon setting update may not be visible to users until up to 24 hours after the setting is saved, because the icon image is served from Salesforce's CDN cache. The CDN cache is refreshed on a daily schedule.
To confirm the setting was saved correctly before waiting:

  1. Go to Setup > Sites (in Classic: Setup > Develop > Sites; in Lightning: Setup > Sites and Domains > Sites).
  2. Click on your Site Label.
  3. In the Site Detail page, verify that the Site Favorite Icon field displays the correct Static Resource name.

If the Static Resource name is correctly shown, no further action is required — the updated favorite icon will automatically appear for all users within 24 hours.
See Site Favorite Icon in Create and Edit Salesforce Sites for full details on setting and managing site icons.
