Emails Sent From Salesforce Not Saved in Microsoft Outlook Sent Folder

Description

Email messages sent from Salesforce do not appear in your Microsoft Outlook 'Sent Items' folder because the message is sent from the Salesforce server, not your enterprise mail server.

    Resolution

    If you would like a copy of your email in Outlook, turn on the setting to automatically BCC emails to your return address or enable Salesforce to send the email through a connected account.

    Set up an email BCC so that your Salesforce emails are visible in Outlook

    1. Open your Personal Setup and search Quick Find for My Email Settings.
    2. Select Yes for 'Automatic BCC.'

     

    Setup Send through Office 365 or Gmail

    Note: The Automatic BCC setting uses the email address you have defined as your return address in this same window.
