Close Date (2) field in Opportunity Reports

The Close Date (2) field is a column available within Opportunity Reports. It does not appear within Opportunity Records and is not available within the Setup Menu.  

 

Scenario:

For example, a sales manager wants to build a matrix report that shows opportunities grouped by calendar year along the columns and by calendar month along the rows. By using Close Date for the year grouping and Close Date (2) for the month grouping, both date dimensions can be applied to the same report.

Lösung
It is not possible to group by the same field twice in reports.

The Close Date (2) field exists as a workaround to this by presenting the same field twice. The Close Date and Close Date (2) fields allow users to group a report by the Close Date in two different ways. For example, in a matrix report, grouping by the Year along the columns, and grouping by the Month along the rows.
