After purchasing Salesforce Knowledge feature licenses and enabling Knowledge in your org, you may find that the Articles and Article Management tabs do not appear and cannot be found in the Setup menu. Configuring these tabs requires specific profile permissions and tab visibility settings to be set correctly.
Configuring Salesforce Knowledge requires two profile-level permissions and a tab visibility setting. Follow the steps below to ensure all three are correctly configured.
This permission is required for administrators who configure Knowledge.
If the Enable Enhanced Profile User Interface is NOT enabled:
If the Enable Enhanced Profile User Interface IS enabled:
The Knowledge User permission is required for all users who will use Knowledge. Follow the steps in Classic Knowledge User Access or Lightning Knowledge User Access depending on your experience.
