Data pubblicazione: Jul 2, 2026
Descrizione

After purchasing Salesforce Knowledge feature licenses and enabling Knowledge in your org, you may find that the Articles and Article Management tabs do not appear and cannot be found in the Setup menu. Configuring these tabs requires specific profile permissions and tab visibility settings to be set correctly.

Risoluzione

Configuring Salesforce Knowledge requires two profile-level permissions and a tab visibility setting. Follow the steps below to ensure all three are correctly configured.

Step 1: Grant the "Manage Salesforce Knowledge" Profile Permission

This permission is required for administrators who configure Knowledge.
If the Enable Enhanced Profile User Interface is NOT enabled:

  1. In Salesforce Classic: Click Setup | Manage Users | Profiles
  2. In Lightning Experience: Click the Gear icon | Setup | Users | Profiles
  3. Click on the profile.
  4. Scroll down to the Administrative Permissions section.
  5. Select Manage Salesforce Knowledge.
  6. Save.

If the Enable Enhanced Profile User Interface IS enabled:

  1. In Salesforce Classic: Click Setup | Manage Users | Profiles
  2. In Lightning Experience: Click the Gear icon | Setup | Users | Profiles
  3. Click on the Profile.
  4. Click on App Permissions.
  5. In the Knowledge Management section, select Manage Salesforce Knowledge.
  6. Save.

Step 2: Enable the "Knowledge User" Permission on the User Record

The Knowledge User permission is required for all users who will use Knowledge. Follow the steps in Classic Knowledge User Access or Lightning Knowledge User Access depending on your experience.

Step 3: Make the Knowledge Tabs Visible in the User Profile

  1. From Setup, enter Profiles in the Quick Find box, then select Profiles.
  2. Select a User profile.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Set the visibility of the Articles and Article Management tabs to Default On.
  5. Click Save.
