Force.com Sites requires a special Guest User License for all unauthenticated (guest) visitors. Each Force.com Site has a dedicated guest user account with a unique profile called Public Access Settings. Guest users have no password, no role, and no API access. Understanding these characteristics is essential when configuring site permissions, sharing settings, and object-level access.
Guest user licenses are required for Force.com Sites. Enterprise Edition (EE) and Unlimited Edition (UE) orgs can create up to 25 sites, which corresponds to 25 guest user licenses.
