Report grouped by Activity Type shows each grouping twice

In Salesforce, Tasks and Events are stored as separate objects, even though both appear in Activity Reports. When an Activity Report returns both object types and is grouped by Activity Type, each grouping label appears twice — once for Tasks of that type and once for Events of that type. To see a single, unified grouping, create two separate reports: one filtered to Tasks only and one filtered to Events only.

A suggested workaround to this behavior would be to separate your Tasks and Events into two different Salesforce reports.
