Notes and Attachments Related List Shows Only 'Last Modified' Date — No 'Created Date' Column in Salesforce

In Salesforce, attachments displayed on the Notes and Attachments related list show only a Last Modified date column. The Created Date column is not available as a column option in this related list view.
This behavior occurs because the Last Modified date updates every time changes are made to the parent record or the attachment itself, which can make it difficult for users to track the original date the attachment was added. This is expected behavior and works as designed.

  • Attachments on records do not display a Created Date column.
  • Attachments only contain the Last Modified column.
  • Created Date is not an available column option on the Notes and Attachments related list.

 

Lösning

To view the Created Date of an attachment, click on the attachment's Title link to open the file detail page. The detail page displays the following metadata:

  • File Size
  • Created date and Created By
  • Modified By
  • Related To
