Change Logo on Custom App Home Page

Before updating the logo, ensure the image meets the required criteria and is accessible.

Image Requirements

• Format: GIF, PNG, or JPEG
• Size: Less than 20 KB
• Recommended dimensions: 300 x 55 pixels (larger images will be scaled)
• Use a transparent background for best display
• Image must be stored in a folder accessible to internal users

Salesforce Classic

Step 1: Upload Logo to Documents

1. Click the “+” (All Tabs) icon
2. Select Documents
3. Click New
4. Enter a Document Name
5. Select a folder
6. Check Externally Available Image
7. Upload the image file
8. Click Save

Step 2: Assign Logo to App

1. Go to Setup
2. Navigate to Create → Apps
3. Click Edit next to the app
4. Click Insert an Image
5. Select the uploaded image
6. Click Save

Lightning Experience

1. Click the Gear icon → Setup
2. Go to App Manager
3. Locate the app and click the dropdown → Edit
4. Under App Details & Branding:
   • Click Clear (if replacing existing logo)
   • Click Upload
5. Select the image file
6. Click Save

Additional Notes

• Classic apps are visible only in Classic; Lightning shows both Classic and Lightning apps
• Ensure the image is uploaded before assigning it (Classic only)
